Q: What got you started in the field of music? Why make it your career?
"I’ve been in choir since I was five and I loved being involved in that. I also played flute, I did that very seriously and thought that I was going to audition here at UM for flute at one point in time. But after I moved I met this really amazing choir director and she introduced me to so many amazing resources in the vocal field so I really took a liking to vocal performance and choral music education. Sometimes I flop between really wanting to teach and really wanting to perform, but I think that what I’m doing right now working in both is primarily what I feel most comfortable doing."
